The annual general meeting of the Forest of Dean Constituency Labour Party will take place at 7.30 pm on Friday 19th October at Westbury on Severn Parish Hall, Rodley Road, Westbury On Severn, GL14 1PF. The meeting will include officer reports and election of officers for 2018-19. There will be a raffle (donations welcome) and the hall also has a bar. To assist us, it would be helpful if you could advise me if you plan to attend. Should you require transport, please let me know. Please bring along your membership card. Newent Climate, Energy and Environment Forum 20 October 2018 Invitation to Attend You are invited to participate in the Newent Climate, Energy and Environment Forum which is intended to raise awareness, improve understanding and develop practical solutions to the existential threats of climate change, environmental degradation and the loss of biodiversity. Background On 20 October 2018, Newent Community School will be the venue for a day-long event supported by a variety of local groups and organisations, focussing on the challenges of climate change, the transition to renewable energy, low/zero carbon technologies and farming, environmental damage and loss of biodiversity, and the significant implications for jobs and our way of life. This is a free, non-partisan, public information event that will be open to anyone who wishes to attend. It will include key speakers, small facilitator-led discussion groups, workshops, trade and information stands, interactive displays and other engaging activities.
