While London Mayor Sadiq Khan has capped fares and set about tackling air pollution with the Toxicity Charge, Theresa May’s Tory government has just raised national rail fares by up to 3.1 per cent, is cutting Transport for London funding by £700 million a year and opposing the Mayor’s plans to tackle air pollution.
